Along with gaining the majority in the Senate, in 2015, the GOP will have more representatives in the House since the 1930s.

What could this shift in power have in store for the futures of hot-button political issues like the Affordable Health Care Act, immigration reform, and U.S. foreign policy in the Mid-East?

Tonight at 7:30 p.m., watch Republican Congressman Dave Reichert and Democratic Congressman Derek Kilmer discuss what they think could be next for these and other issues.

Congress Pic 2Congressman Reichert told Northwest Now’s Tom Layson that bringing the country together on the big issues should be a top priority.

“Really, the focus today should be on moving this government forward, and looking at jobs and the economy in education and transportation and immigration those things that we know that we can get done, that bring the country together rather than creating this last minute herky-jerky sort of approach which tends to make congress look bad but also I think is not good for the American People in the end,”  said Congressman Reichert.
